HELLER started out as a small craftsman’s business in Nürtingen in 1894 – in the meantime, as a globally active group of companies, it develops and produces state-of-the-art CNC machine tools and production systems for machining. The tradition and experience of the medium-sized family business is combined with the holistic solution orientation of a global player.

The Challenge

Trade shows and larger events cannot take place at the moment, which means that many manufacturers have hardly any opportunity to present themselves and their products “live” to a larger audience right now, in the middle of the Corona pandemic. HELLER was also faced with the problem of how to present its new manufacturing solutions in these difficult times.

Together with echolot GROUP and apollon, we took up the challenge not only to fill a small gap in a makeshift way, but to develop a concept that enables completely new ways of company and product presentation and creates a considerable added value.

The Solution

A trade show experience in completely new dimensions was created. A trade show format that is three-dimensional, architecturally sophisticated, and also expressive and packed with features and functions: the V-Brand.

Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH held the first trade fair in this solution in November 2020 and started with a panel discussion on digitalization in manufacturing. Even though physical contacts are missing at a virtual trade show, there are still some advantages.

The specially developed digital format offers visitors added value, which is realized through various integrated formats. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the freely accessible solution world of HELLER and its partners, interact with other visitors, hold meetings, follow talk rounds and participate in discussions at practice-oriented round tables. The exhibitors’ products could be experienced all around by the visitors.

All the advantages of digitization are used, which means that the solution of the digital trade fair not only comes close to the physical model, but even surpasses it in many respects. After all, not only the planning, but also the journey to the fair and the visit itself were easy, fast and efficient.

For this reason, the platform continues to be available to HELLER as a sustainable solution for events and sales.
