Pforzheim: On July 1 2011 the Pforzheim-based media provider Meyle+Müller will strengthen its management team with four further managing directors. The previous authorized signatories Jürgen Mühlfeit, Peter Schellhorn, Frank Schulze and Norbert Weckerle were appointed as managing directors.
For CEO Eugen Müller this comes as a consequent measure resulting from the growth of the company in the past years and the constantly increasing complexity and task variety of the ever-so quickly developing media industry. "It has been common practice for quite some time now that our capable authorized signatories hold operative responsibilities." Plus this broadly positioned management team fully complies with the flat hierarchies and responsibility-based organization of our company", says Eugen Müller.
Eugen and Ingrid Müller shall remain on the management team and shall also serve as chairpersons. With this move, they want to ensure long-term corporate development and realize an optimal combination of owner and management orientation.
The basis of this is a precise division of departments: Jürgen Mühlfeit (44, joined Meyle+Müller in 1993) is responsible for Key Account Management, Peter Schellhorn (45, joined M+M in 1993) heads the area of Sales and Marketing, Frank Schulze (45, joined M+M in 1991) is responsible for Premedia and Norbert Weckerle (40, joined M+M in 2006) heads up the areas of New Media and IT Media. Eugen and Ingrid Müller will both be responsible for strategic corporate development and business administration.
Meyle+Müller was founded in 1910 and is now one of Germany's leading providers of premedia services and, with its 210 members of staff, one of the largest in the industry. The company consequently focuses on innovation, which is also reflected in their claim FEEL THE INNOVATION!
Asked whether six managing directors is not a bit much for a company of this size, Eugen Müller says confidently: "We have a lot to do, we work well together and we speak the same language – and we like being different."
